The current driveway is poured directly into the soil. Its about a yard to get the concrete pored if i form it. Probably 4 x 8 x 4 adding a foot or so to the existing and putting a curb on one side. I need a smoother commute to the driveway.

Add something to allow for drainage and compact it. It is possible to build an attractive concrete driveway yourself but careful planning and preparation is necessary. Once the truck has reached the end of a section spread the concrete out evenly and a touch higher than the form with a concrete placer rake.
